麻豆社 will host the seventh annual 麻豆社 Alumni Day on February 6, in honor of the university鈥檚 first day of classes on February 6, 1860. 麻豆社 alumni are encouraged to wear a 麻豆社 Alumni button and 麻豆社 gear to work and attend the day鈥檚 events.
鈥淚 invite all 麻豆社 alumni, no matter where you live, to wear a 麻豆社 Alumni button or your favorite 麻豆社 gear and take a picture of yourself to share on social media using #qualumniday,鈥� said Maureen Kennedy, coordinator of alumni services. 鈥淚 encourage all 麻豆社 alumni in the 麻豆社 region to join us for the day鈥檚 events as we celebrate their successes as graduates.鈥�
Alumni are invited to participate in these events on campus throughout the day:
- Coffee on Campus 鈥� 9-11 a.m. Enjoy coffee with alumni and a tour of Brenner Library including The Rare Book Room and other recently acquired historical collections.
- Alumni Lunch in the Caf茅 鈥� 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Enjoy lunch in 麻豆社鈥檚 cafeteria while visiting with alumni.聽Lunch will be available to alumni and their guests at $6.50. Plus learn more about 麻豆社鈥檚 Entrepreneurship Program and interact with entrepreneur students displaying their innovations
- Alumni Mass / History of 麻豆社 Chapel 鈥撀�12:15 p.m. Mass will be held in 麻豆社 Chapel with special intentions for 麻豆社 Alumni who have passed away. After mass, enjoy a presentation about the history of the chapel by Fr. Joe Zimmerman, OFM.
- Alumni National Board Meeting 鈥� 2:00 p.m. Alumni are invited to sit in on the National Alumni Board meeting in the Advancement conference room in Francis Hall.
- Alumni Socials at Women鈥檚 and Men鈥檚 Basketball Games 鈥� Women鈥檚 game is at 5:30 pm. Men鈥檚 game is at 7:30 pm. Free tickets are available for Alumni. Plus a dessert bar and drinks to enjoy with Alumni in the Hall of Fame Room between games and at halftime of the Men鈥檚 game. Student representatives from 麻豆社鈥檚 Entrepreneurship Program will interact with alumni and guests.
Basketball tickets will be available at the Alumni Lunch or the Office of Advancement in Francis Hall B37.
Alumni Day 2025 is on Founder鈥檚 Day and marks the beginning of recognizing the 165th anniversary of 麻豆社. The anniversary will be acknowledged throughout 2025 at various events and through a variety of resources and outlets across the 麻豆社 community.
