Faculty Openings

Instructor/Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice

Âé¶¹Éç, a Franciscan, Catholic, and liberal arts institution emphasizing the development of servant-leaders, seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Criminal Justice. Criminal Justice is one of the top five enrollments by major at Âé¶¹Éç. The University has an active mock-trial program, and other avenues for student involvement with the discipline such as the Women in Law club, as well as numerous internship and service opportunities.

Responsibilities: Âé¶¹Éç is seeking qualified candidates to teach courses such as Foundations of Criminal Law, Contemporary Criminal Law and Procedure, Ethics, Justice, Diversity, Juvenile Delinquency, and/or other courses in their areas of expertise and interest. The usual teaching load is 4 courses each semester. Academic advising and committee work are expected after the first year.

Qualifications: A doctorate in Criminal Justice, Law, or related field is required. Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.

Position Start Date: August 17, 2026.

Position Salary Range: $53,000 – $59,000

• CPR certification and appropriate strength and conditioning certification (or the ability to obtain certification within a specified period).

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

Salary: $32,000–$35,000

Assistant Football Coach (Linebackers Coach)

Position Overview: The Assistant Football Coach –Linebackers Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with coaching duties and overseeing the overall operation of the football program. This role includes the installation and implementation of the offensive scheme and assisting with decisions regarding offensive personnel, including recruiting, current roster management, and staff development.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Serve as a representative of Âé¶¹Éç, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions within the Âé¶¹Éç community and with the public..
• Assist the Head Coach in the training and coaching of assigned student-athletes to enhance performance and development.
• Assist with the scouting and recruitment of qualified student-athletes to build a competitive team.
• Promote and support the football program through community engagement and media relations.
• Coordinate and monitor the academic retention program for football student-athletes to ensure academic success and eligibility.
• Assist with scheduling opponents to develop a competitive season schedule.
• Comply with all policies, regulations, and rules of the NCAA, the conference, and Âé¶¹Éç, including adherence to the Âé¶¹Éç Code of Ethics for Coaches.
• Assist in monitoring and enforcing student-athletes’ adherence to the Âé¶¹Éç Code of Ethics for Student-Athletes.
• Work closely with the Athletic Training staff to ensure the proper completion and submission of training room paperwork.
• Assist in developing and overseeing the strength and conditioning program to enhance the physical development of student-athletes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.

Salary: $33,000 – $35,000 per year, depending on experience.

Seasonal Sprint Football Position Coach (Part-Time/Stipend Position)

Âé¶¹Éç is seeking a motivated and energetic Seasonal Sprint Football Position Coach to assist with the development and instruction of student-athletes within the Sprint Football program. This part-time, stipend position will work directly with a designated position group and support the overall mission of Âé¶¹Éç Athletics.

Responsibilities Include:

• Coach and develop student-athletes within an assigned position group.
• Assist with practice planning, drills, and game preparation.
• Teach position-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.
• Support student-athlete development both on and off the field.
• Assist with recruiting efforts as assigned.
• Participate in game-day operations and team activities.
• Comply with all University, conference, league, and athletics department policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Admission Counselor

Âé¶¹Éç invites qualified applicants for a full-time Admission Counselor position.  Reporting to the Dean of Admission, the Admission Counselor plays an integral role in realizing the University’s overall enrollment goals through the recruitment of new students.  Ideal candidates will enjoy engaging with prospective students, articulating the relevance of a liberal arts and sciences education in a community grounded and informed by Franciscan values and the University’s Catholic heritage.  An Admission Counselor must speak persuasively to large and small groups, possess exceptional writing skills, work independently as well as collaboratively, self-motivate, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, travel frequently, and sometimes work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.  This position is classified as hourly and Admission Counselors may work more than forty hours per week in pursuit of the University’s enrollment goals.

  • Manage geographic territory – including visiting high schools, meeting with students and parents, articulating the benefits of a Âé¶¹Éç education, assisting students through the application and enrollment processes, and helping families with the application for financial assistance.

  • Maintain accurate data and reporting for assigned territory, including inquired, applied, admitted, and committed students.

Qualifications:
